Willy Pérez Rodríguez

Luis Pérez Rodríguez has a Bachelor´s degree in Chemical Science and Enology, he has a professorship in Technology of Foodstuffs and is an honorary contributing professor at the University of Cádiz. He has also directed dozens of thesis, he has collaborated with specialized magazines in the publication of articles about wine and he has participated in different technical and university planning boards. As well as his outstanding academic trajectory, Luis Pérez has also held the position of Director of Investigation and Development at the Domecq wineries and is the sponsor of the project Bodegas Luis Pérez. Among his many prestigious distinctions is the Gold Medal of Merit in Enological Investigation awarded by the Spanish Federation of Enology Associates as well as the National Enological Investigation Award.

Born in Jérez de la Frontera in 1981, he holds a Bachelor´s degree in Chemical Science and Enology. He has acted as a consultant, as well as worked, in several national and international wineries since 2005. He is the enologist of Luis Pérez wineries since 2010. He is a regular collaborator at the University of Cádiz in areas of teaching and in various investigative projects about vine and wineries. He is a partner in the company Agri-food Technology and Development, S.L. since 2007 where he develops usable elements from the sub products of vines and wineries. He is a partner in Bodegas De La Riva alongside his friend Ramiro Ibáñez with whom he is also developing a book parameterizing the diverse soils in Jérez from a holistic perspective. He is currently developing another company based on the analysis of vines and wineries by way of artificial intelligence.
